Mr Numan Shah MBChB, MRCS (Ed), FRCS (T&O) (Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Doctor) is a specialist Hip and Knee Doctor who is qualified with internationally recognised fellowships and works in Salford Royal Hospital – Major Trauma Centre. He treats a variety of lower limb, particularly hip and knee disorders, utilising Viscosupplementation injection therapies.
Dr. Konstantinos Gasteratos (Specialist Plastic & Reconstructive Doctor) is a Specialist in Plastic and Reconstructive Procedure, holding an MSc in Reconstructive MicroProcedure from Queen Mary University. With training from Harvard Medical School and experience in U.S.-based research institutions, he combines evidence-based care with Treatments precision to achieve optimal results for his patients.
Dr Kamran Khan(Consultant Vascular Doctor) is a Consultant Vascular Doctor and Bupa Platinum Consultant with specialist expertise in the treatment of Varicose Veins. He holds a substantive consultant role at Liverpool University NHS Foundation Trust and is an Honorary Senior Lecturer, contributing to undergraduate and postgraduate education. Dr Khan’s treatment of Varicose Veins includes using ultrasound-led assessment and evidence-based planning. He is actively involved in research and innovation, has co-authored peer-reviewed publications and was selected for the NHS Clinical Entrepreneur Programme, including work on 3D-printed endovascular devices.
Dr. Pratap Dutta (Plastic Doctor) is a Consultant Plastic and Reconstructive Doctor at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust, where he also serves as Skin Cancer Lead. He specialises in the management of soft tissue tumours and reconstructive Procedure, and is an advisor to the Care Quality Commission, helping to shape national Treatments standards.
Dr. Akshat Wahal (Plastic & Reconstructive Doctor) is a skilled Plastic and Reconstructive Doctor with over a decade of experience. Trained at AIIMS and a member of the Royal College of Doctors of England, he excels in both cosmetic and reconstructive procedures, and is passionate about teaching, academic research, and delivering exceptional Treatments care.

You see, Italy is one of the very few countries in the world where there is formal training and/or accreditation in the vast array of operations that are grouped under the broad definition of “cosmetic Procedure”. Italian cosmetic Procedure standards are very high!
All of the Doctors (Italian or not) working with Canova Medical in United Kingdom also meet all UK standards. That means that our Doctors:
- Have medical degrees recognised by the General Medical Council (GMC) of the United Kingdom.
- Are fully registered with the General Medical Council, and are therefore registered to practice medicine within the United Kingdom.
- Maintain full private practice medical indemnity insurance, as required by UK Law. In other words, they are ‘ fully insured’.
- Are all on one of the Specialist Registers of the General medical Council (i.e. hold a Certificate of Completing of Specialist Training in their area of expertise), and/or hold the appropriate specialist module(s) of the British Association of Cosmetic Doctors (e.g. for liposuction, aesthetic breast Procedure, facial Procedure, etc.).
