These terms apply to your use of this website and to the services provided by Canova Medical Limited, registered in England and Wales, company number 05163384, registered office 36A Alderley Road, Wilmslow SK9 1JX ("Canova Medical", "we", "us"). By booking a consultation or procedure you accept these terms.

1. Our service

Canova Medical provides private consultation, diagnosis and surgical treatment of skin lesions and skin cancer at clinics registered with the Care Quality Commission. All procedures are performed by GMC-registered clinicians.

2. Consultations and clinical judgement

Any information on this website is general in nature and is not a diagnosis. Diagnosis and treatment recommendations are made only at consultation. Your clinician will always exercise independent professional judgement, and treatment will only proceed where it is clinically appropriate and you have given informed consent. We reserve the right to decline treatment where it is not in a patient's clinical interest.

3. Fees and quotations

Fees are published on our Fees page and confirmed individually at consultation. Your written quotation is fixed: the price quoted is the price you pay for the specified procedure. Where you proceed with treatment on the day of consultation, the consultation fee is waived. Where you book your procedure for a later date, the consultation fee is deducted from your procedure fee. Where you choose not to proceed, the consultation fee covers your specialist assessment, diagnosis and written quotation. Histology, where recommended and agreed, is itemised in your quotation.

4. Payment

Payment for consultations is due on the day. Payment for procedures is due on or before the day of the procedure, by the methods available at your clinic.

5. Appointments, cancellations and refunds

Please give at least 48 hours' notice to cancel or rearrange an appointment. Cancelling or rescheduling with less than 48 hours' notice may incur a charge equivalent to 50% of the consultation or treatment fee. Failing to attend without prior notice (a "no-show") results in forfeiture of any deposit paid and may incur a charge equivalent to the full consultation or treatment fee. Where a deposit is required to secure a booking it is non-refundable, and the amount is advised to you at the time of booking. If we need to rearrange your appointment, we will offer you the earliest suitable alternative. Statutory rights are unaffected. Where a procedure has been paid for in advance and is cancelled with the required notice before treatment, amounts paid for treatment not yet provided will be refunded.

6. Your responsibilities

You agree to provide accurate and complete medical information, including medication, allergies and relevant history, and to follow the aftercare guidance you are given. Failure to do so can affect your safety and your results.

7. Results and outcomes

Medicine is not an exact science. We will always give you honest, evidence-based advice about likely outcomes, scarring and the small possibility of recurrence, but no clinical outcome can be guaranteed.

9. Website use and intellectual property

Content on this website, including text, images and branding, belongs to Canova Medical Limited or its licensors and may not be reproduced without permission. We take reasonable care to keep website content accurate and up to date but do not warrant that it is free of errors. Nothing on this website limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, without affecting any mandatory consumer rights you hold.
