Is loose, droopy skin around your area making you look old?
Get your eyes sparkling again with Blepharoplasty Procedure in Wilmslow. No more saggy eyelids or eyebags gives you a younger look.
It’s normal for the skin above and below your eyes to begin sagging as you age. But unfortunately this can give one the appearance of looking sad, old or tired. In fact, this is very common issue in the UK: the Procedure that deals with this condition, called blepharoplasty (or an eye lift), is the second most popular type of cosmetic Procedure in the UK*, after breast augmentation. *Source: British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Doctors, 2011
Procedure for eyelid drop and eye bag removal is effective as it can really lift your appearance. Plus the scarring is either minimal, or completely invisible.
There are two types of blepharoplasty Procedure, and both are available at Canova Medical in Wilmslow:
Upper blepharoplasty: This Procedure is performed on the eyelid. This is when excess skin and wrinkles above the eye cause a tired, droopy look.
Lower blepharoplasty: Eye bag removal deals with the loose skin underneath your eyes, which can be caused by ageing, smoking or sun exposure.
At Canova Medical, we’ll take the time to get to know you, and discover exactly what you’d like to achieve from your eye lift Procedure.

I was quite comfortable and at ease during my first visit. All my questions were answered and everything was explained very professionally. The whole team made me very comfortable and showed me everything and asked me what I needed.
I probably wouldn’t have come to a cosmetic clinic without a bit of research. Fortunately I did and I had been also recommended which does help!
Coming to Canova Medical made me feel so much better with myself. I’m really pleased with the results of the procedure I needed done. So now I’m happy about putting my makeup on, I feel a lot better myself.
I must say that you are really worried when you go in for a treatment like this. If you are younger you don’t think about consequences. You don’t think about your own body, you think about what you want to looklike.
When you get older, the important thing is what can happen after Procedure, and being reassured and told the truefacts help you making the right decision.
I can honestly say that I was really at ease. I think it’s a nice, friendly and professional service and the whole team is great. It’s a niceenvironment and because it’s not such a huge place I think it helps to have a more personaltouch.
I have already recommended the clinic to a few people, they were amazed by my new look and asked what have I had done and where I had it done.

What happens during the blepharoplasty Procedure? How much scarring will there be?
Blepharoplasty Procedure usually takes 1 to 2 hours, and the process depends on the type of eye Procedure you have chosen:
Upper blepharoplasty
Eyelid blepharoplasty usually involves the removal of excess skin, and possibly excess fat. This starts with an incision that follows the creases of your upper eyelids.
Once the skin has been separated from the underlying fat tissue, the Doctor can easily remove the excess fat and trim sagging skin and muscle matter.
The incision is closed with very fine sutures. Because the incision is in a crease (and also very small), the scarring is minimal.
Lower blepharoplasty
For lower eyelid blepharoplasty and eye bag removal, a different technique is used. This is called “transconjuctival blepharoplasty”. It involves making an incision right inside the lower lid to remove the excess fat without leaving any visible scar on the exterior.
What happens after the eye lift Procedure? And how long is the recovery time?
Before and After Pictures of a blepharoplasty in our Wilmslow clinic.
Blepharoplasty Procedure patients can usually go home on the same day.
You can expect to have some bruising and swelling around the eyes. This can last from 2 to 4 weeks, depending on how fast your body heals itself. If you wish to speed up the healing process and minimise the swelling, you can apply a cold compress to your eyes.
You will initially be prescribed painkillers. And when your eyes feel dry and/or itchy, you may wish to use the eye ointment that your Doctor has recommended.
Common side effects after this kind of eye Procedure include feeling sensitive to light, and blurry or double vision. These side effects will disappear in time, as soon as the eyes adjust and heal.
You will need to protect your eyes when you go outside. You will also need to keep your activities, especially reading or watching TV, to a minimum to avoid stressing the eyes too much. Furthermore, you also need to avoid strenuous activities for as much as possible for the 4 weeks following your eye Procedure.
