The Non-Surgical Procedure

What happens before, during and after a non-surgical treatment?

Non-surgical treatments can be for your face (such as wrinkle injections and dermal fillers), or address body areas that make you feel unconfident (such as treating excessive sweating or removing thread veins). Here’s what happens, step by step…

Step 1: Consultation with your medical expert

The duration of your half-hour Consultation will be with the Registered Nurse or Cosmetic Surgeon performing your treatment.

The Nurse or Surgeon will take the time to get to know you and the outcomes you’re looking for. The recommendations you’ll receive will be based upon your specific needs.

You can expect your Consultation to include:

• A thorough review of your medical history.
• A discussion on your expectations from your treatments, and what results you can realistically expect.
• A general physical examination of the area to be treated.

An individual treatment plan will then be recommended to you. This will cover:

• The areas to be treated.
• The type of treatment used.
• How many repeat treatments may be required, and at what interval.

You will be able to ask as many questions as you like, and will be given all the information you need to make an informed decision.

Step 2: Booking your treatment

When you’ve decided that you’d like to go ahead with your non-surgical treatment, you’ll be invited to call our clinic to make an appointment.

Step 3: Your treatment

Your non-surgical treatment takes place in the Canova Medical clinic of your choosing (Wilmslow). Both clinics are very comfortable and elegant, and you will receive our undivided, VIP attention.

Before you leave, you will be provided with any after-care instructions. Plus you will receive details on how you can contact us 24/7 with any questions or concerns. We are here for you!

Step 4: Follow-up appointment

You will receive a follow-up treatment 10 days after your initial treatment. This is so that we can assess how the treatment is working for you, and make any necessary adjustments to your treatment plan.

This is particularly important with new customers: until we’ve treated you, we won’t know how your body will respond to the treatment. It’s important to us that you’re totally happy with the results, hence this follow-up appointment.

Remember, there are no extra fees for your follow-up appointment (or for any future Consultations or appointments). This is one of the perks of being part of the Canova Medical family!

Step 5: You’re good to go!

You are able to resume your normal daily activities immediately after your treatment. If you have a chemical peel, there may be some redness, but this can easily be disguised with mineral foundation powder. We recommend that you bring some with you to your treatments, in case you wish to apply it before leaving our clinic.
