Medical Team
Mr Numan Shah MBChB, MRCS (Ed), FRCS (T&O) (Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Doctor) is a specialist Hip and Knee Doctor who is qualified with internationally recognised fellowships and works in Salford Royal Hospital – Major Trauma Centre. He treats a variety of lower limb, particularly hip and knee disorders, utilising Viscosupplementation injection therapies.
Mr Apostolos Vlachogiorgos MD MScis (Plastic and Reconstructive Doctor) has a special interest in Aesthetic Procedure, performing breast Procedure, mummy makeovers, tummy tucks and facial operations, but also in Reconstructive MicroProcedure, including Breast and Head & Neck reconstruction with free flaps. He has also performed a great number of minor cosmetic surgeries, including mole removal, cysts, lipomas and keloids.
Mr Sirhan Alvi (Consultant Ear Nose and Throat Doctor) is a Consultant ENT and Facial Plastic Doctor, trained in Manchester and Mersey. Starting as a GP in Stockport, he shifted to Procedure, later joining the Mid Cheshire NHS Foundation Trust in 2019. Aliyah Akbar MB ChB MRCGP (Aesthetic doctor & General Practitioner). Completed a Level 7 Qualification in Injectables (equivalent to a Master’s degree) at Harley Academy in London . As well as being fully trained in Botox & Dermal Fillers, she also teaches other medical professionals in aesthetic procedures and works for the leading training academy Cosmetic Courses across the country.
Anna Bojakowska (Laser Practitioner) is a highly experienced to advanced level aesthetician trained in Europe and United Kingdom who is passionate about offering the most effective, up-to-date treatments to her clients. Over 17 years of experience in aesthetics. Licensed Aesthetician, Licensed Instructor Specialising in Dermafillers, Skin Biostimulators, Wrinkles Relaxing, Lypolisys, Scars /medical CO2 fractional laser, Radio Frequency bi and mono polar devices/ Body and Face including 360 degree rejuvenation, Non-Invasive face lifts, Body contouring, Advance level of medical micropigmentation, Hair loss solutions, Feminine health. Adelina Sejdiu is a registered nurse with over 8 years experience. She is advanced trained in a broad range of Non-Invasive procedures and aims to provide treatments to enhance natural beauty and empower men and women in achieving their desired look. She has treated over 500 clients and has worked along side the UK’s top plastic Doctors. Her signature treatment is facial rejuvenation with dermal fillers.

You see, Italy is one of the very few countries in the world where there is formal training and/or accreditation in the vast array of operations that are grouped under the broad definition of “cosmetic Procedure”. Italian cosmetic Procedure standards are very high!
All of the Doctors (Italian or not) working with Canova Medical in United Kingdom also meet all UK standards. That means that our Doctors:
- Have medical degrees recognised by the General Medical Council (GMC) of the United Kingdom.
- Are fully registered with the General Medical Council, and are therefore registered to practice medicine within the United Kingdom.
- Maintain full private practice medical indemnity insurance, as required by UK Law. In other words, they are ‘fully insured’.
- Are all on one of the Specialist Registers of the General medical Council (i.e. hold a Certificate of Completing of Specialist Training in their area of expertise), and/or hold the appropriate specialist module(s) of the British Association of Cosmetic Doctors (e.g. for liposuction, aesthetic breast Procedure, facial Procedure, etc.).
