Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon
Mr Shoaib Arshad is a Consultant Orthopaedic Hand & Wrist Surgeon at Pennine Acute Hospitals NHS Trust.
Mr Arshad qualified in 2004 from the University of Manchester. He then completed his orthopaedic training in the North-West of England and subsequently gained his CCT in 2016. Following this, he then undertook prestigious fellowships at both Wrightington Hospital and then the Pulvertaft Hand Centre.
Mr Arshad has published and presented both nationally and internationally and has recently gained an MSc in Hand Surgery.
Procedures
Hand & Wrist Surgery: Joint injections, excision of lumps and bumps (soft tissue biopsies, ganglions etc), nerve releases – carpal & cubital tunnel, Guyons canal, trigger finger/ thumb, tendon releases such as De Quervain’s, ligament repairs such as UCL of thumb, any fractures of hand (such as scaphoid etc), small joint fusions and replacements of the hand, trapeziectomies, synovectomy, tendon repairs, nail bed injuries/excision of nail plates etc, wrist fusion, wrist arthroscopy, open TFCC repair, wrist corrective osteotomies, proximal row carpectomy, carpus fusions and management of Dupuytren’s
