The National Medical Weight Loss Programme (NMWLP) uses an FDA approved medication, which is licensed for weight management. The medication has passed numerous clinical trials for safety and is the only approved injectable prescription medicine available in the UK for weight management.

As well as helping patients lose weight, the prescription medication has shown in clinical studies to improve many cardiovascular co-morbidities, such as pre-diabetes, hypertension, high lipid levels and obstructive sleep apnoea.

Once in touch with our weight loss clinic in Wilmslow, you will have a consultation with our specialist team, who will assess your current lifestyle and record your BMI. We will then discuss treatment options with you in detail. Ozempic is a weekly injectable medication. Most clients start on 0.25mg weekly and can work up to 1mg. The dose can increase and decrease depending on a number of factors, for example if you are still feeling hungry and not losing weight after a few weeks on a set dose we will assess again and recommend a different dose. Alternatively, if you are feeling many side effects of a higher dose then we will reduce the dose. Weekly reviews with the our team are essential to ensure the best possible outcome is achieved.
One pen can last up to 4 weeks depending on the daily dose required.
