Breast Uplift (Mastopexy)
Would you like to have firmer, more youthful breasts again?
Free Consultation Available
It’s normal for a woman’s breasts to lose skin elasticity as you age. Ageing, gravity, weight fluctuations, pregnancy and breastfeeding can affect the shape and firmness of your breasts.
Breast uplift surgery gives you firmer, more youthful breasts again. This is done by removing excess skin, and tightening the surrounding tissue.
Note that whilst breast uplift surgery provides a new breast contour, it doesn’t change the size of your breasts. However, you can combine breast lift surgery with either breast enlargement or breast reduction surgery, to give you the look you’d like.
At Canova Medical, we’ll take time to get to know you, and discover exactly what results you aspire to from your breast uplift.
Every woman has her own unique beauty ideals. Enjoy breast enlargement in Cheshire that’s all about creating your perfect silhoutte.

What can I expect at the Consultation?
As well as understanding exactly how you want your breast uplift to look and feel, your Surgeon will assess your overall physical health. Any medical conditions will be discussed and evaluated, to ensure that you are a good candidate for breast lifts. The Surgeon will also pay particular attention to the condition of your breasts.
In some cases, a breast implant may be advisable (in addition to breast lifting) to completely renew the shape of your breasts.
Who performs the breast uplift surgery?
Mr Sohail Akhtar (Consultant Plastic Surgeon) performs breast uplifts at our Wilmslow clinic.
Where does the breast uplift surgery take place?
Your Consultations will take place at our Wilmslow clinic, where the ambience is elegant yet relaxed. For the maximum in discretion you will never see another patient. The surgery itself will be carried out a local private hospital. You’ll be given full details at your Consultation.
How do I prepare for breast uplift surgery?
You will be fully informed about what you can eat and drink before the procedure, and any precautions regarding medications and smoking. These are guidelines that you should follow to help ensure that your surgery will go smoothly and without any complications.
What happens during the breast uplift surgery?
The main focus of breast uplift surgery is the removal of excess skin from your breasts. An incision needs to be made in order to cut out the excess skin. Once the skin is removed, the nipple and areola are moved to a more natural position to compensate for the stretching of the skin. The procedure usually takes 2 to 3 hours.
Relax in the elegant surroundings of our cosmetic surgery clinic.
What happens after the breast uplift surgery?
You will require a chaperone to collect you from the hospital once you are discharged. For the 24 hours following your surgery you will need somebody with you during this recovery period. You will be also prescribed painkillers to help ease your discomfort. Dissolvable stitches are used for closing the incisions. A light, absorbable dressing is placed on top, and should remain in place until your first post-operative appointment with the Nurse a week later. Your breasts will feel sore and tender afterwards, with some post-operative bruising and swelling. This will start to improve after two weeks. For this reason, it’s advised that you take 7 to 10 days off work (or more, if your job involves lifting and carrying). It is recommended that you wear a sports bra for the duration of the healing process, which can take up to six weeks in total.
How much scarring will there be?
The amount of scarring will depend on the surgery. This will be discussed at your Consultation with the Surgeon.
Do you have any breast uplift Before and After pictures?
