Arm Lift Surgery (Brachioplasty)
Are you embarrassed to wear short-sleeved and sleeveless tops?
Free Consultation Available
You can read more about it here.
Loose skin or excess fat on the upper arms is a problem for many women as they get older. Even doing daily tricep exercises can’t get rid of the problem. Yet out-of-shape upper arms can leave you feeling too self-conscious to wear short-sleeved or sleeveless tops. It can be very frustrating – especially if the rest of your body is slim and trim.
The good news is that arm lift surgery (known as “brachioplasty”) eliminates these extra folds, and creates a more sculpted look in your upper arms.
At Canova Medical, we’ll transform your body, to make you feel confident. Special. Beautiful. It’s the Italian way to beauty.

Your arm lift surgery questions answered…
Here’s some information to help you decide if arm surgery is right for you, though this will be covered in far more detail at your Consultation.
If you have any other questions, please do contact us: our friendly team is here to help guide you.
What can I expect at the Consultation?
Your Surgeon will take measurements and photographs of your arms for medical comparison. He will discuss with you exactly how you would like your upper arms to look, and what can be achieved with brachioplasty surgery.
The Surgeon will also assess your overall physical health. Any medical conditions will be discussed and evaluated, to ensure that you are a good candidate for brachioplasty.
Who performs the brachioplasty?
Mr Maurizio Persico (Consultant Plastic Surgeon) performs arm lift surgery (brachioplasty) at our Wilmslow clinic. You can read about Mr Persico here.
Where does the arm lift surgery take place?
Your Consultations will take place at our Wilmslow clinic, where the ambience is elegant yet relaxed. For the maximum in discretion you will never see another patient.
The surgery itself will be carried out a local private hospital. You’ll be given full details at your Consultation.
How do I prepare for my arm reduction?
You will be fully informed about what you can eat and drink before your arm reduction procedure, and any precautions regarding medications and smoking.
These are guidelines that you should follow to help ensure that your surgery will go smoothly and without any complications.
What happens during the arm lift procedure?
This surgical procedure trims excess skin from the inner arm, running from the armpit to the elbow. Once the excess skin and excess fat have been removed, your arms will have a better shape and will look more sculpted than before.
Is there any arm liposuction with an arm lift?
It depends on your needs as to whether there will be liposuction on arms or not. It is quite common for there to be arm liposuction, but it’s not essential. This will be discussed at your Consultation.
What happens after the arm lift surgery?
You will be provided with elastic bandages and compression garments to protect your sutures and to keep your arms tight.
Because the compression garments keep movement to a minimum, swelling will be reduced. However, there will be a small amount of swelling and bruising – this is common after any kind of surgery. This will heal over time, and you can manage the pain with prescribed painkillers. You should avoid heavy lifting for the period immediately after Surgery. (You’ll be given full details at your Consultation.)
You will have a post-surgery appointment with the Clinic Nurse 7 to 10 days after your brachioplasty to change the dressings and remove sutures.
What if I have any other questions?
Please contact the friendly team at Canova Medical – we’d be delighted to help you and answer any questions you may have.
What’s the next step?
The next step to getting rid of the annoying excess skin and fat (and wearing short sleeves with confidence) is to arrange a Consultation.
Your Consultation will last for one hour and will be with the Surgeon who’ll be performing your brachioplasty surgery. He will take the time to get to know you and your desired outcomes; obtain your medical history; and make recommendations based on your specific needs. There is a one-off £120 Consultation fee for surgical treatments.
Why is there a Consultation fee?
It is normal for medical specialists to charge a fee for their time; those that do not charge a fee use the Consultation as a promotion. So when you have a Consultation at Canova Medical cosmetic surgery clinic in Wilmslow, Cheshire, you will receive our professional, medical opinion, as you would expect from a medical specialist.
The Consultation fee is a one-off charge: there are no further Consultation fees, neither for your follow-up review appointments, nor for any other treatments you may consider in future. Once you’ve seen us, you’ll be part of the Canova family.
100% Satisfaction Guarantee
When you pay for a Consultation, you want to make sure that you get value for money. And for us, that means that the Surgeon gives you detailed and personalised advice based on your own, unique needs. (Whereas at other Clinics, you may receive a sales pitch from a Patient Coordinator with no medical training.) At Canova Medical, many patients find the Consultation so in-depth that they take notes, as there’s so much good advice on offer.
However, you’ll receive a refund (without you needing to ask for it) if you are not a good candidate for cosmetic surgery. This way you can try Canova Medical risk-free to see if we’re right for you.
